marlin mod 60

I recently had trigger pull problems with this rifle to it to a gunsmith for work to be done he said he worked on the seer. I took it out and it was better but it still feels like you pull the trigger and it comes to a stop then with alot more pressure it will fire. Has anyone had this problem with there marlin model 60. HELP OR SUGGESTIONS NEEDED

  Lots of folks swear by the Model 60's but after working on a couple of them I've concluded that they aren't worth the effort. Enjoy it like it is, or put your money into a 10/22.

  Give it a good cleaning and degreasing, then re-oil/lube

  I can't speak to your trigger issue.
  
  But if you consider that used model 60 guns are readily available for around $100, you have to figure its probably not worth it to expend too much time and effort on one.
  
  Honestly, it might be cheaper/easier just to find another one with a better trigger and trade (or sell yours).
  
  These guns are certainly common enough (I believe they are the most popular rifle in the USA with literally millions of them manufactured).
  
  If you really want a great trigger, step up to the Ruger 10/22 then put in an aftermarket match trigger.

  does anyone have a marlin 60 for sale that fires, but has a bad stock. I would like a project rifle.
