Bakail Shotguns any good?
The local pawn shop has a 12g over under that i can probably get for $250 cash. All I know is it says made in Russia and the engraving on it looks pretty cheesy. It handles nice but since I've not spent much time as a shotgunner the only thing I've got to compare it to is a BSA dbl 12g I bought when my daughter was born.

Guy at the club has model IJ-27 O/U 28" inch kind of clunky in sight and feel but goes boom every time. 250$ not bad not great. 0 -
They were purchased by Remington about 2004, and then the guns were the Spartan line. Bakail made Makarov pistols and long guns during the war and postwar. 0 -
Bought one for my wife in a O/U 20 gauge for valentines day. Shoots and handles very well. No trouble in 5 years. Changeable chokes are nice too. At 250 I'd jump on another. 0 -
I have an IZH-43 410 side by side. I baught it for $275.00 10 years ago dealer cost. It has a single selective trigger, splindter forend latch, and automatic ejectors. It patterns to the point of aim, and will put 3 000 Buck pellets from each barrel in a 10 inch circle at 30 yards. I have taken everything from quail to Turkey with it, and a couple coyotes...just to say I could. They are built like a tank, but go bang every time.

Remington did not buy Baikal, they just purchased the rights to import them.
They are strong, but crude shottys. I have one marketed by Stevens as the 411 that works well.0 -
I have had an izh-27 em in a 12ga for about 6 years now. It shoots well and functions flawlessly. I bought it mainly to rabbit hunt so I didnt have to worry about beating downand scratching a nicer gun. If you dont buy it for $250 Im sure somebody else will jump on it! 0
