19-7 Performance Center .357

This gun was left to me by a relative and I just can't seem to find much info on it. It says it's a S&W Performance Center, it has a tritium front sight and has a port just in front of the sight. The serial # is prefixed with SDA. I would like to know the value and if it is a common gun or not. By the way it shoots great!! Thank you.

    Your images didn't quite post right.

    Regardless, the SW Performance Center is Smith's custom shop.

    They put out custom-type tuned guns labelled "Performance Center" and I believe they also do aftermarket work on existing guns.

    In your case, I think what you have is one of the Performance center production guns, with 3" bbl, night sights, and porting.

    Someone with a catalog (or better memory than me) can maybe give you more details, but the PC model 19 was released in a small run in the late '90s.

    These aren't common, but others do exist (ie yours isn't a "one off").

    I'll ballpark your gun at $800 give or take a little.

    Incidentally, the STOCK model 19s have very nice actions too, though 3" models are fairly rare, and obviously these lack porting and night sights.
