Browning shotgun barrels
Help - I've got two 12 gauge Belgian Browning barrels. How can I determine which model they fit?

AS far as I know they only made single barrel shotguns in the A5 model maybe also in the double automatic.If it was made in Belgium The chamber length 2& 3/4 or 3 inch 70MM or 76 MM as well as choke should be marked on barrel with a picture we could tell. 0 -
They're 2 3/4". One's modified (**) & the other's improved cylinder (**_). They do not fit my A-5s. If I can figure out how to post pix I'll do it. 0 -
Where do they not fit. Etc, reciever on mag tube?? 0 -
They don't fit into the receiver - there's no "flat" part that slides into the two slots in either side of the receiver. Also the distance from the breech end to the ring that circles the magazine tube is ~11 inches; on my A-5 barrels it's ~6.5 inches.
Is there a way to put pictures into a post? If so, can anyone tell me how it's done?0 -
Hello Bobski needs to read your post however if you look at the top of the post on this forum there are some with the name STICKY beside them these are FAQ one is labeled posting photos . If you are computer savvy and understand ALL the terms used and you follow instructions to the letter then there is a chance you will be able to successfully post photos on this forum, or if you are computer challenged like me go to the sale side and start an auction this will let even a dummy like me post pictures by just hitting BROWSE and it is a snap. you can run one of your barrels for sale with starting bid of $5000.00 and then come back to this post and give us the Auction item number. i'll bet theyre browning double auto bbls. does it look like this?

maybe your auto 5 is an american browning? which was made by remington in the war years. you can easily tell because the serial number is on the side of the receiver in that case it would accept remington model 11 barrels not auto 5 browning barrels? 0 -
Thanks for the responses. I've got photos in my computer but am too ignorant to follow the directions in the sticky. Bobski, they don't look like your photo. My A-5s are both Belgian; one is from 1957 and the other (I think) is from 1928. Any further suggestions or info will be appreciated - thanks. 0 -
the bbl i posted is belgian.
there are only a handfull of belgian semi autos made.
the A5 and double auto.
type in exactly all the writing you can find on the bbl. that will help us.
