Hi....Can anybody tell me who Lew Horton was (is), and why S&W named so many revolvers after him ? Thanks....BT

A distributor that would commit to buying a certain number of revolvers from S&W - like 250 - of a specific , unusual configuration, then re-sell them.

MOST of them command a premium used, and sell at retail - new - at a premium.

I have had several.

I have several Lew Horton models. Many models he ordered were short barrel versions or with unfluted cylinders or both.
