shotgun (old)

I would like to determine the value of an old shotgun.
It was made by W.J.JEFFERY & CO,London.410 guage.There is no identification on the gun itself.It is in the original case which has the Jeffery name on it.
The gun was probably made around the 1930's.

  If this in fact is an English made Jeffery shot gun with original case and it is in good condition then it could be worth big $$$ however be aware it may be a Knock Off made in Belgian If you remove the fore-arm wood and then dismount the barrels you should see some makers marks / proof marks with good pictures of thes marks we should be able to tell you what you have.

  Not to be contrary, but if this is a W.J. Jeffery shotgun, there has to be some form of markings on the shotgun. Proof marks have been required in Great Britain forever. These can often be found under the forearm, on the water table and on the underside of the breech end of the barrels. In addition, the Jeffery name was in most cases inscribed on the rib between the barrels or on the side plates. Obviously, there are exceptions.
  
  If you can supply photographs of the proof marks and any other identification marks you find, we might be able to lend a hand.
