Hi, is there a way to find out when said model was made? I know by the serial # but what site/book can tell when manufactured by using serial number? Trying to date weapon. Thanks Mike Any Help!!! PS-- which is better to own 223 cal or 762 value wise?

    I don't believe their is any on-line site giving specific DOM data for any of the Chinese AK's. That said I believe the Polytech's were only imported for a short period of time in the mid to late 80's? time frame, by one U.S. based importer/distributor.
