Iver Johnson Super Shot

I have been handed down an Iver Johnson Super Shot 9 shot top-break, double action, may be trigger cock. Serial #14114 on trigger guard, (bottom), walnut grips with a 6 in. barrel. Any ideas on the history, age, and value? I believe it is between 1904-1941 just because of location of #.

    9 shot uncounterbored cylinder similar to supershot sealed eight (got one) 6"bbl 1929-1949 matching serial no's to year is tricky valu on condition & collector???interest...i have watched the older ivers & H&R go way up in last few years because the colts, ruger, s&w, etc have jumped in price...WAG exec $250 on down

    the 22 supershot was introduced in 1928 as a 7 shot and the next year 1929 the 9 shot version was introduced. later in 1931 the 7 shot was discontinued with only the 9 shot remaining in production until 1941/42 when the supershot model was discontinued in favor of the 22 supershot sealed 8 that was introduced in 1932. main serial number lacation is on the left side of the grip frame under the one piece walnut grip. the letter code K was used on all of the 22 supershot models. serial number K14114 was manufactured in 1931, when 4,900 of this model were manufactured.

    Features HAMMER the HAMMER ACTION, MODEL 70 (chambered for 7 rounds), MODEL 90 (chambered for 9 rounds); Built on the Safety Automatic Hammer Third Model large frame. Blue finish, 6 inch barrel length, one piece checkered wood grips; .22 rimfire caliber; most specifications same as Safety Automatic Hammer revolver large frame; Weight 24 ounces; Overall length 10 _ inches. Barrel marked on left side "22 SUPERSHOT". Main serial number location on left side of grip frame grips must be removed to see.
