Can anyone help ID a firearm

Can anyone help me ID the rifle. I know that the handgun is a Beretta.

Close-up of the action/receiver, and all markings on the rifle would be best for identification purposes.

Is it a muzzle loader, it doesnt look like the block drops.

OK, a real WAG- but I am looking at the 1902 Sears catalog- similar to a Quackenbush Safety Cartridge Rifle on page 310. Made in 22 and 18 inch barrels, swiveling breech block. $3.90 [:p]

Looks like a Hopkins & Allen No.722 boys rifle.

There are no markings on the action. The breach is open in the picture. I was told that this rifle has been in my family for 6 generations and was use for hunting in the plains of North Dakota.

The Quackenbush has a side-swinging breechblock, and trigger guard is too far forward for H&A 722. Have you checked for proofmarks under the foreend?

Post a closer pic of just the frame with action closed.

There are no markings on this rifle that could help to identify the make / caliber.
