winchester Letter $$ on a 94

Bert, { and anyone else that might know }
I have a chance to pick up a pretty nice original win 1894 sporting rifle mfd in 1901 chambered in 32-40.
The gun comes with a letter from the winchester museum in Conn. dated 1974, and its all on a 3x5 card with the museum header on it { Olin is also mentioned } what kind of value if any will the paperwork add to this rifle ??

Hello Jim,

I have seen pre-Cody Winchester letters, but never one on a 3x5 card. The 1974 date is just before Winchester shutdown the Musuem in Conn, and shipped everything to Cody. Is there any chance you could send me a picture of the card? Assuming that it is the real thing (and I have no reason to doubt it), it might add a $100 bill or two. That said, I highly recommend having Cody research the serial number for you to confirm the contents of the 3x5 card before plunking down any $$$$ for the rifle. If it turns out to be the genuine article, I would also buy a brand new factory letter for it.

Hello Bert, Thanks for the reply,
I will get you some pics along with serial # etc,,, I believe the card is the real thing as it comes in the original winchester museum envelope,,,, 1st one I have run across ..
