Can anyone help me?
I own a web site through Yahoo Small Business
Now Yahoo tells me I am Breaking their rules.
No Gun sales or Sex sights allowed.
I can transfer the name, just need a host for my site.

    Bill,

    I checked out your web site, and it has no place that I saw, to view your inventory. If you are doing this without inventory, I want you to listen to a guy who knows. I was in the business of FFL for 20 years. I did carry some inventory but mostly special ordered, much like you are. I didn't make money on the gun themselves, but did with accessories, and my gunsmithing services as well.

    It is not worth the hastle if you are not going to do guns full time anymore. There is too much red tape, insurance cost, and way too many litigation happy politicians, lawyers, and individuals. It is a loosing battle part time.

    If you do want to do the inventory, and it does not have to be a lot, but it has to be the right stuff to move. A gun sitting on the shelf for a year cost you money. You have to be able to read trends, have a broad advertising base(of which by the way, this site is a good one), as well as provide something for the locals who wander in. It would not hurt to have some basic services like cleaning, and scope mounting(done properly, not just slapped together). Check around and talk to the other local shops, and see what they say.

    As far as the unfriendly to firearms sites on the www...they are many, and yahoo is one.

    That is exactly what I was trying to tell you. Unless you are going to have a full display, and inventory that people want on hand, that you can sell and ship immediately, there is just too much Beauraucratic BS and red tape to make it profitable. If iny thing, it might even make the rest of your profitable product lines take a loss.

    I am sure out where you are at, there will be the regional locals who are looking for target and hunting guns, but it is right now a nationwide Black Rifle feeding frenzy. You cant hardly even find simple small parts like extractors, and extractor springs for AR-15's.

    I made the initial mistake when I started my business when I was 21, with stocking the stuff that I liked, or thought I would like, and had to adjust to read the trends better. You will do OK if you can do that.
