S&W 617 ?

I just picked up a model 617 no dash today. I would like to know if a speedloader for a model 17 K22 will work because I can only find speedloaders for the 617 in the later model 10 shot and I have the older 6 shot.

  Yes, Speed loaders for the model 617 and model 17 6 shot revolvers are interchangeable. The are both "K" frames.

  The 617 was made in both 6 and 10 shot versions. Being a K-frame, it will take the same 6 shot speed loader as the K-22, if it is a 6 shot 617.

  What 617 10 round speed loaders did you find? I would like to look into some.
