Smith & Wesson model??
It's a Smith & Wesson. 32 Smith & Wesson Long. It belonged to my Wifes father, He passed 5 years ago. A year before that he gave it to her for protection. She had just devorced and lived alone with two young kids. when you open the cylinder it say's 66820 . Under the barrel it say's 330186 It's a 4" barrel. Has some bluing wear but not to bad. Anybody no the age and value, not that it will ever leave the family, were jus wondering Why can't I find a model #

Check the butt of the gun. The serial number is probably the 330186 and would be found on the butt as well as under the barrel.
If that is the serial number, it was made around the 1920's. There is no model number because S&W didnt use model numbers until 1957.
The 66820 is probably an assembly number.0 -
S & W didn't mark their revolvers with model numbers, prior to approximately 1957. The serial number should be stamped on the base of the grip. It would be best if you could post quality photos of the revolver, showing all markings. This would help with the valuation and age question(s). 0 -
