MAC differences

What is the difference between a MAC 10 9MM and a MAC 11 9MM?

    The physical dimensions. The MAC 10 is boxey while the 11 is rectangular.

    The MAC 10 is chambered for the 9 MM Luger Cartridge, the MAC 11 for the .380 Cartridge. ( In some European countries,the 380 is known as the 9mm short).

    There is a M11/9 (9mm), I have one of the many. P3's basic answer is true. Basically different frame size.

    EDIT: I understand the the M-11 was built for the .380. My point is that they are also made in 9mm. In semi auto guns the 9mm is way more common, not sure about in full auto.

    The original open bolt MAC 11's, (dating to the late 70's) were .380's. The feds stopped production of the open bolt guns in the early 80's. I believe that is where the confusion arises, as the original open bolt MAC 10's were chambered in 9mm & .45, and 11's in 380.

    That's the trouble with you young kids, you weren't around at the time, and just believe what you read in the funnypapers.[:D]

    I bought a [MAC]RPB 11 new in 79, (IT WAS A Semi-AUTO) it was a worthless piece of s**t, that had a bad habit of firing when the safety was disengaged. Even though your finger wasn't on the trigger.

    I don't think that is correct.
    The original MAC 11 designed by Mitch Werbel was a 9mm Parabellum.
    The MAC 11A1 came later and was smaller framed and in .380.
    I have each from the original MAC.
    I don't know anything about the semiautos.

    Gordon Ingram was the actual designer. Werbel was the honcho/promoter behind Military Armaments Corp, which was the original outfit that tried to sell the selective fire MAC's, to various military and paramilitary organizations in the 70's.
