Hi-point 995???
My kid wants one I know NOTHING of this breed. Should I steer him elsewhere? Has a 10/22, wants more... who of us doesn't... give me some input & opinions.

go up to the search in upper right of this screen and type in highpoint. they are cheap,ugly,handy,reliable firearms. great for plinking and fun. well worth the money in my opinion. 0 -

I took away the ugly, changed the stock to an ATI. Mounted a Sight-mark reflex sight on it. Its a great shooting gun. You just have to get pass the fact it looks like its made from tractor parts. 0 -
Hi Point has a life time warranty no matter if you're the first owner or the third. I have the 4095 and agree with the other post except the ugly part. 0 -
man i had a hi-point carbine that between my friends and me put thousands of rounds through it. I bet there had to have been 7000 to 10,000 rounds through this and never had a problem. everyone barowed this gun from me. It was used as a trap gun between me and three friends and we use to take it out a burn 1000 rounds a weekend through it when ammo costed less then 100 per 1000. If i ever needed a low cost carbin in 9mm this would be one i would get. Shoot i only cleaned the gun once between the 10,000 rounds but then again it wasnt mint to start with. I forgot to add i changed the stock to make it look like the burreta. the origianal looks like a planet of the apes gun. 0 -
i have owned a couple of the hipoint carbines for the money you cant go wrong no problems even after 5000 rounds 0 -
i have one and they are fun guns to shoot and actually very accurate inside 100 yards. i would rather have a .22 though, for the price you pay for a box of 9mm ammo you could buy a brick of .22 ammo. 0
