Browning BL-22 problem

I bought a Browning BL-22 rifle for my grandson about three years ago. He has never shot the gun until this week. The rifle will load the round and shoot the round but will not eject the spent shell. I have oiled it to no effect. Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated!

  extraction and ejection are two different animals.
  (A) it pulls the fired cartridge out of the chamber but does not exspell it?(B) or it leaves the fired case in the chamber?

  I just went through this with my bl 22. You need a new ejection spring. They were known for being weak. Just get a new spring and put it in and watch the shells fly. I took me all of about 5 minutes to do it and I think the spring was a few dollars. Oak. If you have any trouble you can email me at Oak41mag@aol.com and I will walk you through it.
