Ak 47 front sight missing dentent pin

Just recently purchased amak 90 and wanted to thread the barrel so that I could install a threaded compensator / flash hider BUT I relized that the front sight dose not have a dentent pin in the front sight. The front sight looks to be made to have a dentent pin but has no hole ? Can this be drilled out and rettro fitted to have a dentent pin installed?

  My first question would be what does the diameter look like on the Mak barrel in-front of the front sight look like? For the Clinton AW ban a lot of Maks had the barrel threads turned off in order to import them.
  
  You may not have enough diameter on the barrel to thread for a stock AK brake.
  Remember a lot different ways were used to make those evil AK's less evil so they could be imported during the Clinton days. If the barrel diameter will allow you to thread it, (remember the threads were left handed and metric) You could look into finding a replacement front sight base somewhere.

  The gun is pre ban so the barrel is fine, the machining is the same all the way up the barrel and I have the tools 14 x 1 left hand thread. Guess I just need to take the sight off before I buy any dentent kits. I guess this is pretty simple push out the pins and pull it off ? Thanks for the reply.
