Ruger Bisley Hunter 41 Mag. Question?

I just won, (well I got High Bid on another gun sight) I will get it in about two weeks. It's got a 7 1/2" barrel with scope mounts. It's new in the box never fired. What does the trigger wieght come set at from the factory? I plan to use this for Boar hunting and deer. What should I have a gunsmith set the trigger at? Does anyone have a recamendation as to bullit wieght and grains of powder? I just started reloading a few few weeks ago for my new model 57 41 Mag. For the range, I've made up 220 & 200 wad cutters at 8 grains of powder. They work well. I'm just wondering about hunting loads?

    My Ruger Blackhawk trigger broke at about 4.5 lb.

    For hunting loads, I like a heavy bullets and in my .41 mag I shoot a 245gr lead.

    What powder are you currently loading? Makes a BIG differance in how much powder is used.

    I load with TITEGROUP. Starting load 6.5 grain and work up. Do not exceed 7.8 grain per my loadbook. I shoot near max load @ 7.5 grain and have good accuracy without signs of excess pressure. These loads are only good for this powder!

    I'm using Unique powder, My book say's 200 Gr. Bullit 8.5 - 9.0 gr. and 220 gr. 8.0 - 8.5 both are for Unique powder. Both books are old?

    10.3 grains of unique powder with cci 350 large pistol primers and a hornady 210 grain xtp-hp. Great load and will knock a deer right out of his socks.[:D] Oak41mag@aol.com

    Did you get the Bisley grip or regular?

    If you want to lighten the pull without gunsmith work you can remove the grips & drop one of the legs of the trigger spring off the stud. Makes it lighter, stays safe though. Mine's been like that for years.
