Winchester 1892 part 2

Bert,

Here are some better pictures of this rifle. Functions good but shows heavy wear. Markings on the tang are wore as well as the serial number. Bore looks pretty good. Here is what I can make out of the serial number: 26??7
Any ideas what this might bring on auction side, barrel cut or original, either way?

  Barrel and magazine tube were both cut from rifle length.
  Stocks indicate it was a rifle not a carbine.

  v35 (Bob) called it correctly... both the barrel and the magazine tube have been chopped off, and the fact that it has an octagon barrel tells us that it is a Sporting Rifle versus a carbine.
  
  The overall graded condition of that gun is very poor, and as such, I would list it at a starting bid of $400 and let the bidders (market) decide what it is ultimately worth.
