Correct Ammo to Use?

I took this nice revolver in trade today. It says it is an "Adler-Italy-RMF Co. CA." On the top of the barrel it reads "Hartford Ct. Model." On the side of the barrel is reads "Bisley 45 Colt." It has approx a 4" barrel.

Anyone care to offer an opinion as to its value? What is the correct ammo for this gun? I know 45 ACP and 45 Long Colt. What ammo is correct for my revolver?

  I believe that ".45 Colt" is the correct desigantion for that round. The word "Long" is often used to distinguish it from other .45 ammunition. Most people just call it ".45 Long Colt". "Bisley" is the style of grip/ grip frame, and is named after a famous shooting range.
  
  I think that Adler was an importer/ distributor of your gun. It may have been made by Armi Jaeger. Please, re-check the "R.M.F." marking. It is probably "E.M.F.". They are an importer in California. They used to be known as "Early & Modern Firearms". E.M.F. uses the "Hartford" name. Here is their Web site:

  .45colt and long colt are the same cartridge....
  
  According to Wikipedia:
  The designation ".45 Long Colt" originated amongst military personnel to prevent confusion with the smaller .45 Schofield. It has become a widely used alternative name for the cartridge, and adopted by Colt for use in designating the chambering in its own Single Action Army revolvers.
