Value of P220 European model?

I have a Sig P220 .45 caliber pistol with the european magazine release. Although it was never abused, it was certainly used. It was the service pistol of a police officer from about 1985, when it was purchased new, to 2000. I'm sure it has had thousands of rounds through it. It has holster wear and one grip is cracked. I have all the papework for the gun, the original box, and 5 or 6 spare magazines. Any ideas on a range of value? Does the European magazine release add or detract to the value? Thank you for the information!

  European mag release guns are not as popular as side button release models. They are much slower to reload.
  
  My dept used the original BDA "Browning Double Action" .45 pistols. They were the predecessor to the P220 of today. They had the european mag releases.
  
  One of our officers went on a call of a suspicious man at a gas station. Unknown to him, the european mag release on the butt of his gun had been popped loose from contact with the seat in the patrol car. The cop was attacked by the bad guy weilding a skateboard.
  
  The cop drew his pistol and fired one shot, and of course the gun didnt feed another round as the mag was out about 1/4". After that we took all the guns with european releases out of service and replaced them with side-button release guns.

  While there are many collectors of military firearms & their variations, there are far fewer collectors of civilian firearm variations. That's especially true of a gun that has seen heavy use.
  
  The European release location doesn't seem to deter the many folks who have bought used P38's for shooters & defense. Of course, they only pay $200-300 for them. I suspect that yours would sell in the same range.
