Anyone have any experiance with this firearms lubricant?

    I purchased Miktec about a year ago. It really is a good firearm lubricant. One advantage it has over most other lubes is that it is heat activated. This really helps. It is my main lube.

    I never wanted to fool with the Militec-1 Synthetic Weapons Lubricant, as the procedure for applying it is a little too tedious for me. But, it is supposed to work great in the desert.

    I like their Synthetic Metal Conditioner (grease) for metal contact areas on my military guns. I like it better than Lubriplate 130-AA.

    Militec is a good outfit to deal with. And, they have sent a lot of free product to our military guys in the sandbox; they even gave me some to pass on to VFW posts for their honor guard.

    I use it on all my guns now. It not only lubes well but it cuts down on cleaning efforts needed. I don't run my guns dry but I'm confident they would work well if I do.

    worked well in the desert, and they did send a bunch of it to us free.

    When I saw it the first time and got a few samples worked great on fast bearings as it is supposed to penetrate pores of metal. Live demo showed them trying to stop an electric motor by leveraging hard against a pulley. W/o militec it stopped easily, but with Militec no matter how hard they leaned on the lever the pulley kept spinning. I was impressed. the part about heat is true..sort of like seasoning a cast iron skillet get pan hot with oil and it seeps in deeper.

    Got a free sample and tried it once.

    It worked fine.

    But since the gun in question worked 100% anyway, and I didn't really try to "push" things, I have no idea if it works any better than any other comparable lubricant.

    This is one of those things, that if I had it, I'd use it, if I didn't have it, I'd use something else. I don't spend too much time worrying about lubricants, and I doubt I'd be willing to pay much more for this one than a number of competing products.

    I'm not saying this isn't a good product or even a great one. For all I know its the best lubricant on the planet.

    I just have never run a gun to the point where its lubrication appeared to be its limiting factor. IE, I've never had a "failure" I think could be attributed to lubrication, so I wouldn't know how good this could be.

    While I suppose it could be pretty easy to gum things up with a BAD lubricant, unless you were running your gun under pretty extreme conditions (ie extreme temperatures, huge volume of rounds between cleanings, etc) I doubt you're going to notice that much benefit.

    Great product, heat activated, swab the barrel and action, fire the weapon and it will lube.
