How much would a m16 be worth that wasn't registered I know there is legal complications with a gun like this that isn't reigstered. But could it be registered? How much is it worth?

    If it was not registered by 1986 it's too late. IMO it's worth whatever it's non automatic parts are worth. $200.00-$300.00 in parts maybe?

    Whoever has it needs to very quietly take all the parts off the lower receiver and then torch cut the lower into 3-4 pieces. The person in possession of the firearm has contraband and evidence of a felony. This is serious!

    If the parts are Colt and in good shape, they are worth about $700.

    It is worth a good chunk of you lifespan, since if you get caught with it, you will be losing a good chunk rotting in prison.

    It's worth a very quick and extended trip to a federal prison, especially now that it has been posted online for the entire world to see. I hope the receiver and full auto parts have been destroyed by now. I wouldn't want them any where close to me and if they were they would be tured into a pile of metal filings by now. It can not be registered and you will only be able to get what you can out of the legal parts. Get rid of that thing ASAP. It's not worth the trouble it can get you into.

    The upper is worth something and does not need to be destroyed.

    The bolt carrier, selector, trigger, hammer, sear, all the lower fire control components need to be destroyed as well as the lower itself. The push pins, plungers, springs, etc can be salvaged along with the mag release assembly and the bolt release assembly

    save the non-NFA parts (upper assy, buttstock, pistol grip), get a new semi AR lower receiver and bolt carrier assembly, and build a new, legal, semi-only AR rifle.

    Yea, I saw he was trying to buy one below market value. Sounds like some shaddy deals going on.

    Unless you are a Law Enforcement AGENCY or a branch of a National Military Force, no full auto weapon that was not registered with the BATFE by May 1986 CAN be registered. Possession of an unregistered full auto is punishable by confinement in a Federal prison for not more than 10 years, and a fine of not more than $250,000. Your new roomie- Bubba- will probably also cost you your girlish laughter.

    This is why the price of LEGAL, REGISTERED Class III weapons has gone thru the roof. The finite number of them in existence is IT- there ARE no more.
