Colt Concealed Carry Officers Model

I recently purchased a Colt CCO with blue carrying box. I have looked all over the net and have not seen one with the markings on mine. the pistol is nickel/stainless finish with double diamond rosewood grips. On the right side of the slide are the words, COLT C.C.O. MODEL and on the frame serial number LF11317E. On the left side of slide are the words, "CONCEALED CARRY over
MODEL
, COLT in the middle, and next to that the words AUTOMATIC over CALIBER 45. Carrying case reads, Model 0985OXS, Concealed Carry Officer, 4.25" barrel, 45ACP, Nickel/Stainless Finish, with a hand written in pen number 2693. Also a yellow sticker with the numbers 715991. Safety and instruction manual is copyright 1996. So many variations out there, any info greatly appreciated!

    ...Some others will know more about the Officers model...I'm a Commander & Govt. guy.

    ...It "sounds" as if the seller may have bought one of the blue clam shell Colt boxes, you can buy them for $35 bucks, Auction side..bought blank stickers, as I think the yellow stickers were placed on the cardboard wood grain boxes, not the blue plastic..and wrote in the info...and bought a Colt manual, also avaiable for about $15 bucks on Auction side...all to pass off as "original box and papers...which adds $100+ to the value of the Colt...not saying this is what happened, but...a LOT of azz wipes do this to dupe the un-informed nube to Colts to make that extra buck.

    ... BUT! Colt is "funny", sometimes they grab the first part out of the first parts box they come to, thus, the many different grips etc. that show up on the same model that are ORIGINAL. Colt also use markers/pens to write on the stickers, go figure...a LOT of this occured in the 80's, along with a lot of VERY poor quality control during that time.

    ....If your happy with the gun, thats all that counts! Don't worry if the seller did put one over on you with the box stuff, in a year...you'll have made that back plus in apreciation...it's a Colt after all...[:D][^]

    it has LFxxxxE no. I was told it was an enhanced model.

    the blue book lists yours page 535 28th edition.yours

    Call Colt and they will give you the specifics on it. I don't remember if the CCO was a custom shop model or if they did them for a distributor like Lew Horton. They will only give you some detail because they like to charge $100 for an actual letter with more detailed specifics.

    enchanced models mean they were not put together on assembly line,1 person worked on it,also the top of the gun is flat...
