Savge Model Identification

I recently purchase a Savage 32ACP pistol that I need to replace the grips on. Problem is I can't identify the model. It has a 1905 patent date, serial number is 128463, does not have a grip safety, has external hammer that is round and the word Savage on the left side of receiver above the grip area. I am pretty sure it is a 1907 model because there isn't any place for a grip screw. The 1917 requires grip screws. Problem is the research book I looked at showed the 1907 as having a grip safety, which this one doesn't. Also would appreciate knowing what year this pistol was manufactured and any other interesting history. As usual thank you in advance for any assistance in this matter.

  It's a Model 1907 made in 1915, according to this site.

  The one with the grip safety also had a shrouded hammer, it was known as the Model 1915.
