Model 94 markings

While working on a WWII era Model 94 ran across some markings I had never noticed before. Small stampings about 1/16 inch. In front of the trigger toward the barrel. One is ET,another DH,next V, another O and the last is 85 but turned on its side compared to the letters. Serial numbers range from 1,200,000- 1,400,000. Anyne know what these mean? Thanks in avance.

  Yes, I do know what they mean... they are inspection/inspector stamps used during the assembly and fitting process.
  
  As a side note, the WW II era Model 94s are actually only in the 1310000 - 1353000 serial number range. Serial 1200000 was manufactured in the very early part of the year 1939.
