Best Lead Free Bullet

Building a one off 300 win mag, and unfortunatley i live in the RETARDED california CONDOR range... We cant shoot lead bullets here.... My gunsmith is in Montana, and of course by nature has never really experimented with the lead free crowd. Just wondering what you "experts" [:D] think is the best bullet and the reason why. i was looking at the Lapua Natulis but at $85 for 50 bullets, i really dont want to do it. thats TOO over the top for me... So whats the new stuff thats supposed to be the best out there?!?!?

    Do a GOOGLE search for Barnes bullets, they make a number of different models that are lead free. They are expensive, not as expensive as that other outfits though.

    Barnes, Barnes, and Barnes. If you wre using a 180 grain lead core bullet, you will be able to use a 150 Barnes. That is just how good their terminal performance is. I use them either in the XLC, or TSX form for most of my hunting rifles. They are just that good. The link you are looking for is:

    Barnes for sure! I have used them in my 270 for years. Great performers. Accuracy is superb. Kills elk very well.
