Winchester Custom Shop Model 70 - Buy?

I have an opportunity to purchase a Winchester Custom Shop Model 70 - made in the 80's early 90's. The gun is unfired. I was wondering how well made these guns are. Are they set up to be "tack drivers"? Are they trued up, lapped, squared, etc. or are they just fancy looking factory guns with high price tags?? Anyone own one of these or have actual experience?

  what cal.,model sporter varmint,classic,heavy varmint? I have a custon shop .22-250 built in '88 and the wood is fantastic, action,bore was hand lapped, it shoots any ammo Ive run thru it like a house afire!
