Found these in a old house

shooting time
I found these 45 colt 's and was wanting to know about how old they are ?45lc.jpg

    I won't give you an age/era, but they are by the "United States Cartridge Company", and the monogramed primer indicates that they are loaded with smokeless powder.

    They would have been manufactured prior to 1938 when USCC was sold to Winchester-Western.

    Ok thanks for that info I figured if anybody would know it would be on this forum. I guess they are not worth much .

    I was tempted to shoot one or two in my montado but i guess I will just put them with the rest of my old ammo and paper shells

    It appears that they are old enough to be 'balloon' head cases.

    I really can't see it that well, but you can tell by whether or not there is a 'groove' around the case just forward of the rim.
