Looking for Winchester Model 94 30-30 NIB
I've been trying to find a Winchester Model 94 30-30 new in the box. I've searched all of the local dealers in Alabama with no luck. My question to the group, does anyone know if it is possible to still find one new in the box? I'm wanting one with the looped front site and top eject, steal checkered butt. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Local stores (or any stores for that matter), are not going to have a NIB WINCHESTER Model 94 in their stock. WINCHESTER got out of the gun making business in early 1980. The U.S. Repeating Arms Co. (U.S.R.A.Co.) took up the reins in early 1981, and they manufactured the Model 94 until March of 2006 when their owner (Fabrique National) shutdown the factory due to the high cost of doing business in the U.S.A.
As for wanting a top-eject, from 1983 - 2006, the majority of the Model 94s made were angle-ejects.0 -
You should be able to find one listed for sale on Gunbroker, although I don't know what a looped front sight looks like. Have you looked there?

I've checked Gunbroker and couldn't find the one I'm looking for. I've also checked {elsewhere} with no luck.

Yeah, I saw one once, for $1400, but, when I went back to buy it, it was already gone. I wouldn't mind a used one if it's in real...real...good shape. I found out today there will be a gun collectors show in Birmingham on the 21st/22nd. I plan to go there to see if I can find one. Otherwise, I'll keep scouring the web for one.

I wish you good luck. I am not clear on what you are looking for, but with a checkered steel butt plate it will be pre-1064. NIB is pretty unlikely, and if one does come up will be offered for substantially over $1400. NIB angle eject models from 1994 come up with some regularity in about that range or a little less. 0 -

What you describe is a Winchester 94 made in the 40's 50's and early 60's new and in the box. They are out there but NIB guns like that rarely come up for sale. You can get a 98-99% gun occasionally here on GB in the $800-$1400ish range.0 -
Hi...You must be patient, but new ones come up more often than you might think. The Angle-Eject models most frequently, and 30-30s are the most common caliber. I've purchased new 30-30s, 44 mag, 357 mag, 25-35, 45 Long Colt, and 38-55, all new in the box. New top-eject are much tougher, but do show up rarely. If you listen to the guys that collect only pre-war, you'll never get anything ! But a new 30-30 Angle-Eject can be had for much less than a thou, and will take a prime venison home just as well as an antique, with money left over for the scope, license, and the gas ! BT 0 -

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned commemoratives. There are lots of them for sale "new, unfired in the box". I've got a Centennial 66 that I bought new in 1966. Paid $125 for it. Eddie 0 -
