Cost of re-bore to 35 Whelen

I am planning to buy a nice used pre-72 SAKO rifle in 30-06 caliber to convert to 35 Whelen.The gun is in great condition with no issues. I don't want to re-barrel. Can anyone please tell me the approximate cost of re-boring and/or suggest someone who will do a quality job with this conversion. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

  Look in the back ads in Rifle Magazine or Handloader for High Plains Reboring and Rerifling. To re-bore and chamber it will be about $265.00-$275.00 plus shipping both ways. You don't need to ship through an FFL, either, as it is going to a licensed gunsmith for "repair".

  I had one done a few years back by classic barrel works with excellant results if I remember right it was about 300.00
