Bert when did winchester switch to angle eject?

My dad has a 30-30 he paid 350 for. the guy he bought it from said it was not a pre 64 but made in the 70's. it is a top eject gun. just wondering, when did winchester swith to the angle eject? was following another topic. Bert I know ya got the answer you the man!

  The U.S. Repeating Arms Co. introduced the angle-eject in 1983... two full years after Winchester got out of the gun making industry.
