S & W Model A rifle

I recently acquired a S & W Model A rifle in 30-06 with a 24 inch barrel. I has made in Sweden stamped on the reciever. It has a blond stock with a dark forend. The action is not a Mauser action. I was told this is similar to Husqvarna 8000 or 9000. Can anyone shed some light on this rifle? I also need a scope mount base for this rifle. Thanks in advance.
