Mossberg "Brownie"Pat. july 27, 1920

Years ago my brother gave me this "pepper box". I just started to find out info on it as I am getting old and have the time. Seems he left me quite a piece. Mossbergs fist handgun. I know there are 3 variations and it is missing the extractor pin. Are there many of these handguns around, records on them, etc. Thanks for any info,

    Just ordered an extractor pin for my "Brownie" and am wondering if there is a specific way the extractor pin is used,like between the shells or one at a time,etc? If this sounds like a dumb question, sorry. I did not get instructions with my pepperbox. Not that I will be firing same, but would be nice to know the correct way to use the extractor pin.

    For ANYTHING Mossberg, contact Vic or Cheryl Havlin at www.havlinsales.com They not only sell parts and accessories for older Mossys- and work on them- they run the Mossberg Collectors Assoc. Anmd are very nice folks to deal with.

    dont know much about them other than every brownie i had was broken. guts of the gun were cheaply designed and made.
