2 Colts series'70 .38 super NIB / .45 Nickel 95%

What is the approx value of these? Would it be equal to a S&W mod 27-2 nickel 8 3/8" ? Colt series '70 .45 Nickel at 95%,same question. Great forum! Best way to guage the market.

  Without quality photos hard to tell. If it's the high polish Nickel, rather then the electroless finish, it looks bad if any of the nickel is flaked or missing.
  
  The Colts would be way easier to sell faster, and bring more money then a Nickeled 8 3/8", Model 27, IMHO.

  The nickel Colt is the high polish finish. I'm finding you are right about there being more interest in the Colt's than a model 27-2. Perhaps I should add to/upgrade my question to include a 6" Python in Nickel?

  Depending on the condition of the colts, they would have the most value. Python's right now are very strong on the market. Anywhere from 500.00 to 2,000.00 depending on condition and variation. The 1911 in 38 super is very good and again depends on condition. Make sure the nickel is origional to the gun. This does not make the Smith a junker. Depending on condition, age and several other factors it will bring 650.00 to $1,200.00.

  ...Here is not always the best at figuring out the value, especially w/o quality pics.
  
  ...Go to the Auction side, find the closest model's to the CONDITION of your's, more the merrier...save to your watch list and watch 'em; follow the guns if they don't sell and see what they DO sell for when/if they do, a good way to get a "value" also.
  
  ...Some of the books my very esteemed buddies here have, that I don't, may/may not get you as close as a posting with good pics; especially with Colt's, they usually defy the price in the "blue book"...funny creatures the Colt's and thier collectors are...[;)]
