looking for the value of a Ruger m77 w/Leopold
I have recently acquired a near new Ruger M77 in .375 Ruger with a VX-L 4.5 X 14.5 scope with boone & crocket reticle. I am not very familiar with the gun or caliber. I am not sure if I want to keep it, or sell it. Does any body know what they would be worth. Thanks Ben

ben collins,
The .375 Ruger is a superb cartridge and is capable of harvesting any game animal on the North American continent and most in Africa. It is slightly better than the longer .375 H&H which is getting hard to find in affordable actions.
The Ruger Hawkeye rifle is an improvement on the last version of the M77 MkII.
These are the .375 Ruger cartridge dimensions:

This is the cartridges compared to the .375 H&H:
This is a pretty good article about the cartridge and rifle:

The scope is O.K., one of the better scopes available.
I personally wouldn't get rid of it since it's a good rifle/cartridge combination. Hornady has the ammunition as well as the components for reloading.
