Will an original 77 tang safety 30-06 stock work on a 338 win mag action?

It all depends upon the profile of the barrel..It would probably help a potential seller if you listed the diameter at the muzzle and at the receiver.. Also is the .338 a tang safety or MKII model????

I'm seller and question was from potential buyer. I have already given width for standard contour 30-06 stock dimension at tip of stock is 11/16."

Not without a lot of fitting. The 338WM barrel is a larger diameter than the 30-06 barrel.
