Need help Identifying LC 5.56 XM193F ammo,
The box is brown cardboard, inside the box is a black plastic ammo devider. Each box holds 20 rounds.
This is what it says on the box.
Federal Ammunition
XM193F
20 Cartridges
5.56mm M193 Ball
55 grain metal case boat tail bullet.
On the back of the box is the lot No. U 49 Z444
The markings on the case ar LC80 Clockwise with the "C" up. My guess it means Lake city 08.
What I want to know is what the designation in red XM193F means, as in what the ammo is meant to be used for.
Only thing that comes to my mind is Frangable

Well not sure... but i have 700 rds of 5.56x45 american Eagle Tacitical xm193c. this is federal ammunittion fmj 55 grain. maybe when they answer you itll help me too! 0 -
X indicates loaded as a civilian round, and is not milsurp (retrictions on sale of milsurp ammo avoided) F is the loading arsenal- IIRC, Anoka MN. Rather good quality target ammo. 0 -
Well, it looks good and clean. I have inspected the cartridges in 10 boxes out of the 100 I have, and all of it is uniform and bright.. There is no sealent around the primer or neck but other then that I think I got a good deal on it. [:)] 0
