Is it legal to purchase a long gun Face To Face from a private owner in an adjacent state. If I cross into the adjacent state to receive the weapon??

As the guys have said- NO. You CAN go to another state, and buy a long gun from a licensed dealer (if your state law- California for example- does not prohibit). But not from an unlicensed person. 0 -
I guess I have been under the mistaken impression that we lived in the UNITED states of America. Silly me.

...ATF sent out CD's of State(?) laws a few weeks ago to FFL's. Sorry, got mine but forgot about it till this thread, have not even looked at it yet to WHAT exactly is on it...reason for my (?) [:0]
...BUT! I remember in the letter that came with it that the same content was now down loadeable from the ATF website....so I guess you/anyone could dn/ld to your own CD/DVD...vs being dragged thru their site...and "maybe" no more of those damn books by the bushell...that only went out to FFL's...[;)]

poligamy is against the law at the state and federal level in the state where i live. i believe it is in your state too, yet it is openly practiced. (i could care less how many wives or husbands a person has) never the less it is against the law and when someone steps way over the line they are made an example of. meanwhile thousands still participate in the unlawful action suffering no ill consequences.
i can honestly say that i don't understand the full intent of all the laws or at what point you pull one out of the hat to use.
don't interpet my words as if i am suggesting anyone break the law. maybe just something to ponder in your spare time.0 -
