Blackhawk Compstock question
Does anybody here have any experience with these recoil-reducing Compstocks?
The Blackhawk website says that they will fit most mauser actions. I have a .378 Weatherby built in 1959 on a FN action, and am wondering how much work is needed to fit the stock to the rifle.
The rifle is brutal to shoot now, and I don't want to put a muzzle brake on it and ruin the collector value. But if I could put it in the Compstock and shoot it, I would always have the original stock to put back on.

You could always try a conventional buttpad like maybe a limbsaver and even a mercury recoil reducer installed in teh stock. 0
