nazi crowbar
Have you ever seen a crowbar like this with these markings. It is real and was brought back from the war.My grandfather picked it up off of the battlefeild. I also have some jap7.7's with the original bayonets with some writings in japanese on the leather slings and on the guns. I also will be posting these picture along with one of a naval officers sword. I was wondering if it has any value. I will try to post more pics. of the crowbar when I can get this computer working right. Oak

Oak, before you press the POST button, always press the PREVIEW button to see what your post will look like. If the photo appears to be 1" square (called a "thumbnail"), then that's how it will look to us. You should have photo editing software on your computer; see if there is a "resize" option, & change the size of your photo to something like 640 x 480. If the photo posting procedure at the top of the first page of the forum doesn't work for you, contact me off forum & I will see if I can help.
Most Japanese WW2 rifles/bayonets sell in the $100-200 range, but there are some that sell for a lot more; good photos are needed. Swords always have some value, but only the Samurai swords bring enough to send your kids to college.

Remember that everything from WW II has value, but condition is everything. Japanese bayo's are a field to themselves with many makers, many codes but once you get into them are rather easy to interpret. I agree that most are in the $100-300 range but even Japanese frogs bring up to $150 nowdays. Again, condition determines price and photos are critical. Most Japanese officers and even non-com's carried the traditional sword so they are all over the place, and usually bring top dollar depending upon condition, however with college prices as they are today a usual non-com sword might pay for one class, but an officer's family sword made by a known Japanese swordmaker could pay for the year! Neal, thank you so much. I was trying to figure that out. I will try to post some more pictures and correct them. You have been very helpful. By the way, I have a fifteen year old son who wants to be a neorologist. Thank god I made some smart investments and worked so hard all my life so I could put money away for him. I have all his education paid for, so this stuff is mine for investments.I retired at 45 last year with a nice nest egg but went back to work last month because I was BORED AS HELL. You can only fish and hunt and golf so much.Besides, I was the only redneck at the local country club and they all looked at me like, where the hell did he get the money to belong here. I think those were carried on tanks for repairing treads0
