    I am not sure about the 453, but anything I have seen that has come from Bakial is built like a tank. Back when European American Armory was importing them, I purchased an IZH-43 side by side shotgun in the 410 bore. It appears to be built on the 20 gauge frame, has a solid rib, single selective trigger, and automatic ejectors. It has been flawless, and it cost me $275.00 when I bought it 8 years ago. I wouldn't part with it for triple that, as I surely would not be able to replace it.

    Heavy and overbuilt. They are not the most ergonomic guns, and the fit and finish is a bit crude by western European and American standards. But they, like most Russian guns do work and appear to be durable.

    I have a 12 & a 20 O\U in Baikal. Shot many a bird & lots of rounds of sporting clays with them. Never had a problem. Yes they are a little crude but I don't like taking my high dollar guns to the field. Seems silly because I have nary a mark on either of these in several years of bird hunting.

    Hey! Have a SPR 220 20ga. double trigger, had it for two seasons of quail and dove hunting. Shot over 400 rounds, shoot skeet to. Have had no problems. If I am not shooting my L.C. 20ga. (grandfather bought new in 1915) I pick this one up over others. I just like how it feels.

    Just did a u tube search on Mp153 bakail or Remmy spr453 as its labled here, not baddddddd..there cheep as chips here too! [^]

    Ive got the 210 sxs in 28ga, my only complaint is the lockup is a little tight sometimes have to slam it shut. the checkering is very deep and sharp, I'm sure it will wear down with use. I love the feel gun fits me good, and price was very good, while it may never be a weatherby, it shoots good and the price was right.

    HEY Hillbille! My 220 did the same when new so I took it down and found a lot of metal shavings inside. Cleaned all this out, pollished what I wanted to work smother and it worked a lot better. Even more now that it has seen a lot of use. The RUSKIES. They get it to work and they stop there. They never finish anything. Ask anyone who has taken an AK apart. Real crude workmanship. But they work. I am not a gunsmith just a novis so if I can anyone can.
