ar15 sight in ?

I have a bushmaster 16" 1n9 twist shooting 55 gr.s.p.@3200 fps shells with limited sight in area a2 sights if I sight it in at 25 or 50 yards max. where will bullet hit at 1000 and 200 yards? thanks jeff

  The bullet is going to make a parabolic curve, ie like a hail mary, At hunting bullet weights and velocities a 50 yard zero (ie point of aim) produces a ~4 in high impact at 100 and several in low at 200. Your shooting a much higher vel and so the curve might be shallower. So, i think you can estim. it will be a little higher than your 50 at 100 and prob a little lower at 200.

  I have read about 15 yard sight ins, maybe someone has a link.. At that range it puts the bullet 4"(?) above a bore line zero. I think the trajectory of a 55 grain bullet at 3200-3300FPS is about +2" Above the bore at 100yards, back in line with the bore at 200 yards, -9" below the bore at 300yards, and -30" at 400yards. So if it is 4"-6" high at 100yards you are dead on at 300. And it reduces the hold over at 400 to about 2feet wich is easier to estimate then 30 inches.
