Remington 700 .300 Win. Mag
I just bought a Remington 700 .300 Win. Mag. LEFT HANDED. im new to rifles and dont know much, i only paid about 500 for it and its brand new, only 5 rounds put through it. Came with a Leupold 3-9 scope, new upgraded trigger, and professionally installed muzzel brake. Has a beautiful upgraded wood stock. ill take any info on the rifle. have a ton of pics and would like to know what its worth. ive been told that i got it for a steal possibly 1/3 the value. Please let me know any info helps. Thanks again

Welcome to the forum. IMHO you did very well. A used 3x9 Leupold scope will usually sell for about $150 all by itself. That makes your Rem 700 a $350 rifle, I'll take two please...... 0 -
id like to email you photos, the guy i got it from had a friend pass away and he had no idea of the value of the gun. absolutely beautiful everyone that sees is says its no ordinary 700 0 -

Got remington 700 BDL blue stainless steel no scope excellent c ondition $325.00 about 5 years ago.you got a great deal.

Without the photographs, make of the 'upgraded trigger' and whether it's a well known stockmaker, trying to arrive at a value will be fruitless.

You have Remington 700 LSS LH w/factory stock. I have the same gun. I love mine. I think they only made the 300 Win for a few years. The last MSR was $827.00 The left hand models command a little premium in the $40.00 range. I believe I bought mine in '99 (the first year they came out) and it was close to $600.00 at that point. It was also very hard to find. 0 -

Laminate stocks are not an 'upgrade'. They are plywood and nothing more. In fact, they are the cheapest form of stock that can used on rifles with the exception of the plastic ones made from recycled milk jugs.
The scope is low value as stated above and unless the trigger is a Jewell, there isn't much of an upgrade there either since the Remington triggers can be tuned to be very good. The muzzle brake is nice but it's a 50/50 proposition today about who will buy a rifle with one and who won't.
I think you got an O.K. price. Are you going to double or triple your cost? Nope.
