AR Pistol?

I have never really seen a pratical use for an AR 15 type pistol.However, I have decided that I would like to purchase one. Who here has one and what brand? Any pros or cons would be appreciated.

1.RRA
2.Carbon 15
3 Olympic Arms

    Except for the Sig & Olympic, I think they are butt ugly - and I have a carbon 15! Practicality was much more important when I was younger.

    Is that the Carbon 15 Type 97S? I have always wondered about the Carbon Fiber lower receiver. Do they hold up well? How accurate are they? Would you recommend purchasing one? Do you like the sights?

    definetly a fun gun that can reach out. sights kinda suck and have yet to find a comfortable hold while aiming. on the have a hoot side, it's great for point shooting and walking to targets out at the 100. mine is a no frills bushmaster.

    I have a pre-Bushmaster ver and have put only about 200 rds through it. I can't give a long term statement. Reasonably accurate if you consider you are shooting a pistol and not an AR. Aside from the looks (I mentioned the Oly & Sig with the altered gas system) I would say to go for it.

    I have a Bushmaster Carbon 15 M-4 style rifle..its not the pistol...the lower and upper are carbon fiber...it is a great rifle..I also own a Colt 6920 and a 6721. It lacks a forward assist because it doesn't need it. I've put 5000 rounds through it without a hiccup...I took it through a UPR class and it ate all the way...while several colts had issues...the Carbon Fiber receivers are supposed to be virtually frictionless and require no oiling. I would assume that is the same for teh Carbon 15 pistol...it is my understanding that Bushmaster bought the patent from Olympic Arms.

    Well, if that is where your interest lies, I have a very special PreBan OA-93 on GB. It's a gun you can shoot, take care of and still get your money back later.

    I've owned it for 10 years as a "gun safe queen" and it's time for her to have a new owner.

    I have the Carbon 15 made by Prof Ord. Good shooter. It likes polymer mags like Thermold or Orlite, not too fond of aluminum GI mags.

    I had a OA one. If I was going to own one it would be the OA due to the not needing the rear buffer tube. This one is 16" OAL.

    Now with that said they are kinda neat, and kinda fun, and have an awsome muzzle blast but the coolness wore off quick for me.

    Here is the one I had with a C-More sight on it and Beta drum:

    I have wanted one for awhile now but the only use i would have for it would be for coyote hunting on a atv

    I had bad luck with Professional Ordnance (pre Bushmaster). The ejection port was chewed up in the first few rounds and it would not run. After a lot of arm pulling, Davidsons finally replaced it and once I found out how much the scope mount cost I sold the new one. I have been impressed with the Olympic OA93 pistol as NWCID stated, it is nice as it doesn't require a buffer tube so it makes for a shorter overall pistol.

    The OA-93 just has that compact, mean and nasty look. Olympic Arms must have a patent considering no other company has copied the design.

    Not to mention the fact that the people at Oly Arms are top notch..

    I ask you: What other firearms company would send you a letter authenticating a rare firearm produced by them?

    They did that for me... Makes my auction that much more interesting and the gun more valuable.
