Winchester 1300- Should I buy?
My Buddy is getting rid of some of his shotguns,needs the money. At first he told me he had a Winchester Semiauto. I've been wanting a semi auto for my dad so we can go duck hunting together. I now know it is a Winchester 1300 Waterfowl with laminated stock, no plug, and only one choke tube. it's in used condition but no major scratches and wood is in great shape. Does $300 sound like a good deal or should I walk away? I was thinking I could trade this towards a semi auto. Your thoughts please...

pass. you can buy a remington 870 express new for $250 or less. it is a much better shotgun. you can buy two of them for less than one good auto. 0 -

Thanks, He is a friend and I know what he's going through, so I threw him an offer of 250 and I'll see if he takes it. Right now 50 bucks means more to him than it does to me. 0 -
$200 is to much, he won't get that on a trade in, $150 is more like it.
Winchester 1300 is a fast pumping shotgun. They have what they were marketing as speed pump which just means when you shoot the bolt is kicked half out of battery assisting rearward movement of the pump arm. And for that its a very smooth pumping gun. I've always been a fan of the 1300. The only downside is when you go to a full pistol grip tactical shotgun rather than the traditional stock the trigger doesn't feel very good because it pulls up instead of back.0 -

I picked up a Winchester 1500 semi auto 2yrs ago in a pawn shop for $180 in spite of bad reviews it's treated me ok 0 -
Be a real friend...either give him the money or loan it to him, and let him keep the gun. Personally the gun is not worth more than 150.00-175.00 in the condition it is in. Just check the auction side. If he is that good of a friend, just help him out, and tell him to pass it on to someone else who needs a favor someday. 0 -
