colt d.a. 41??
just bought 35 guns through an estate, included was a colt double action that i am not quite sure what it is. he called it a DAA which i dont think is correct. it has rubber grips with the horse on them with colt written above it. then right above that it is samped on the frame the colt emblem again. other than that all it says on the gun is "colt d.a. 41" then when you swing out the cylinder it has "722" in several differnt places. mostly i am wondering what the model would be, also caliber is it 41 short colt or what.

yep, that would be the one. everything except grips have the horse logo with the written colt.

The basic Model was known as the 1889 Navy. It should be in the serial number range between 1 & 31,000. The serial number should be on the bottom of the grip.
It could be quite a valuable gun, depending on factory originality and current cosmetic condition.
It's possible though if the grips aren't original, it's a later model that wouldn't be nearly as valuable.
