McStock

Got a used McMillan for my Sako 338. The stock is used and the hunk of material between the back of the mag box and the trigger group inletting appears to have been removed. I'm pretty sure it wasn't built that way. Any idea why it would have been removed or if there is a problem with it being that way. Thanks, Ken[?]
