Bolt is stuck....

On tha XP-100 action, I am pushing the plunger as always and the bolt will not come out, I have been fiddling with it for over an hour and it will not go past the bolt stop....

What do I do to get it out?

    If you have scope bases on it and one of the screws is too long it will prevent removal of the bolt.

    Nope; the bolt has been out many times before for cleaning, this is a new development. I checked it out just to be sure and there is no problem there.

    Is there any chance dirt or grit got into bolt? How long has it been since it was open? Does the safety have to be off for it to operate? Some times it is the small things that you can over look.

    No dirt or anything, I can see the plunger get depressed when I shine a lite in the action; it is on the left side and you push it down with something. I use a T handle allen wrench, the same one I've used for the other 50 times I had the bolt out. The bolt moves freely back and forth, it wiggles at the stop, nothing seems to be binding, it just won't go past the stop....

    Try pulling the trigger at the same time.

    Take it out of the stock and look for the problem...
    Pulling the trigger has nothing to do with a XP-100......

    First I would take a weldting tourch and heat it up to about 5000 degrees[:0] and if that don't work I would try a five pound sledge[:(!].And for that reason I take all my guns to a gunsmith[:D]Though I would try to make you smile a little.[:D]I thought this stuff only happens to me.Oak
