Quad rails and telescopic stocks

Hey Guys/Gals,

I have bought an older PO Carbon 15 and was wondering if I can swap out the factory stock with a telescopic one and also about swapping out the front handguard with a quad rail. If anyone has done these mods/swaps I would like some recommendations as to brand and so forth.

  From personal experience I put a UTG quad rail on my Bushmaster Carbon 15. It was a very easy. Now the UTG is not a "free floating" foregrip, but if your shooting a 16" your not going to be making long distance "sniper" type shots that would require a $200 free floating rail system. I bought my UTG quad rail on ebay for $45.
  
  UTG and other companies also make telescoping stocks...they are too easy to put on. Remove the butt plate on your stock, the stock should slide off the buffer spring tube. Break down the rifle, at the rear depress the little nipple and remove the buffer and buffer spring. Then unscrew the tube and replace with the telescoping stock. You can pick up both pieces pretty cheap at a gun show or online in a various colors OD, Dark Earth or black. Good luck!

  as far as the stock goes, take a look at a manual or a how to video on youtube so you know where the springs are gonna come flying from. trust me, don't just tear into it without knowing what else is coming out with certain pieces. it'll save you a headache searching for replacements.
  
  
  ps. i bought the cheapest forearm tool i could find and had my handguard swapped with my rail in about 30 seconds. that's pretty easy to do. good luck
